| | I have been having some issues with sleeping recently. I think it is because I have been less active these days (studying) or because I have many things to think about. I have also been going to sleep anywhere between 11:30 PM to 1:00 AM. And then I try to make myself wake up before 9:00. I don't seem to have any trouble with daytime sleepiness. If I do, I can expect it about 2-3 post-lunch. If it gets to be really bad, then I take a 10 minute nap. I like those. I do feel better after them. I don't like how I feel after long naps. I feel so out of it and stuff. Never was one to like naps, but I think 10 to 30 minutes (if I REALLY got no sleep the night before) are great!
The night/morning my niece was born, I was so excited that I couldn't sleep well. That I have no regrets about, though. Last night (technically, early this morning) was another night where I woke up sometime before 3:00 AM and could not go back to sleep. I don't want to disturb my circadian rhythm by turning on the lights completely, so what I do is either watch TV or listen to my iPod. Thank goodness for my iPod, really. I think I listened to it for at least an hour or two early this morning. Heard some really good songs. For example, While I'm Waiting. I was browsing through my Top Rated Songs and decided it was timely to listen to that one. I first heard it from the movie Fireproof (great movie, btw, and now I want to watch it). That song is very timely for this season in my life. Many times this summer I have felt like the most impatient person in the world, so whiny. I hope my time comes soon. People say there is something better in store for me, hence all the closed doors. Again, I hope my time comes soon or at least that the Lord would help me be patient as I wait.
My niece (I will refer to her as Baby A on here): she is 1 week old today! Baby A seems to be doing quite well. She no longer looks like me, is what I've heard, but that is okay. Baby A looks a lot like her father. It's been so fun to see pictures and videos of her. So precious. |
