| | First off, happy Independence Day! I'm wearing my blue shirt and blue socks. I was at Wal-Mart a few days ago and saw a bunch of patriotic shirts on sale for $3.99-$5.99!! Even one with my friend Mickey Mouse on it! But.....I was a good girl and did not buy it. I also saw a baby girl's skirt on clearance for $1!! Wow. I love finding good bargains. But again, I did not buy that either.
Sorry it's taken me so long to update regarding the internship. Well, I guess that would be because it's a no - I did not get the position. Which is fine. It wasn't meant to be. I mean, what are the odds with 32 interviewees and only 5 positions? It was a very tough position. It was probably for the best, right?
On the same topic of jobs, I have still been applying to jobs. I didn't think I would still be doing this, not in the month of July. But here I am - it's already July, and I still don't have a job. I have had a few people ask me what kind of job I am looking for. I am looking for a position for a Graduate Nurse/new RN in a hospital. And yes, there are several RN jobs posted all over, but more than half of them (if not, most) want people with experience.
I have applied to over 10 hospitals and have had 5 interviews so far. I feel like a broken record. Who all have I told this to anyway? Oh well, if you didn't get to read my last posts, I guess it's okay to repeat myself again.
I will not panic.....yet. I will try to enjoy myself while I still have free time. I want to try, but I feel so unsettled without a job, you know? Like they're all going to be snatched up by other new grads and then I will have to wait until the next new round of new grads graduate or something. AND.......(what an excuse, but) this delays my future (if any) grad school applications. Because the school I have my eyes on wants at least 1 year of nursing experience before I even apply. So every month that passes where I am not working.....delays my grad school application just that much.
